Ellerbe Springs offers an outstanding setting for weddings. With a spacious dining room that seats over 100, a separate building for dances or receptions, 15 guest rooms and two choices of outdoor settings, there is a perfect plan for every special occasion.

Situated on 50 acres of rolling, wooded countryside, our out-of-doors wedding sites are naturally beautiful. The first site features a latticework gazebo beside a small stream (that leads into a 5-acre lake). Most couples rent white bridal chairs and arrange them in a semi-circle in the grass in front of the gazebo where the bride and groom will stand. The pathway leading to the gazebo is lined with azaleas and looks especially nice with a white runner. Only a few steps away is our separate building called the Springhouse, perfectly suited for the reception. In the Springhouse are buffet tables, a bar counter with ice-maker and refrigerator, restrooms and seating for 40 guests (more can be added). Eight picnic tables are arranged in the grassy area directly behind the Springhouse to accommodate an even larger wedding group.

The second outdoor site is the covered picnic pavilion. It is located on the hill beside the Inn. We have also used the pavilion for dances following rehearsal dinners.

You might choose to use the Inn's lovely first floor dining room for a more formal setting, or during the winter months. In this case, you may use one of the alcove areas for the reception foods and wedding cake. If your wedding ceremony is held elsewhere, the entire dining room can be reserved for your reception.

For rehearsal dinners, we recommend the Scottish Room for groups of 32 or less. If your group is larger, you may reserve the dining room area for up to 125 guests. Our plate prices are reasonable and range from $9.50/person for a grilled chicken breast dinner to $13.75 for ribeye steak.

The Scottish Room also provides a private atmosphere for bridal showers. Whether brunch, lunch or dinner, we have a wide variety of menus to suit your occasion.

To accommodate your wedding guests, we have 15 "bed & breakfast" rooms, decorated in Victorian style antiques.

Ellerbe Springs carries all ABC permits, serving wine, champagne, beers and mixed drinks. We will be glad to arrange for a bartender if you desire. . Our wedding coordinator is Donna Lane.
